In the waking dream featured in the last two posts, the dreamer, Glenn, was given what amounted to an omen of his farm sale: Even without hearing from the Realtor, he learned via a waking dream symbol that he was "homeless," that his farm had attracted a buyer.
How helpful is this kind of information?
The answer is that it depends on the subtlety of the issue that the dreamer is grappling with. In this case, the information Glenn received via a dream symbol was something that he would have found out about soon anyway. But suppose the issue had been more buried in his subconscious. What if he were quietly working on a direction in his life that was less cut and dried?
Had he received the same kind of information or instruction from a dream, it might well have offered an invaluable insight. That kind of direction-giving instruction from dreams is what I'll post about next. The next dream is about a sailor who has an erotic encounter. And the personal issues he is grappling with are much more subtle than the ones Glenn was facing with his farm. In the sailor's case, the information he received from his dream symbols was invaluable to him.
Stay tuned!
